What Do You Think About The Whistle Blower Policy In Nigeria

For almost 2 years now, their have been a strange wind blowing in the land of Nigeria, and that wind is "the fight against corruption". But this wind seems to find on all it's path, "wind breakers", it's seems impossible to fight corruption, until a game changer was invented, the Whistle-blower policy.
This policy is working so acridly, it reveals the danger in which Nigeria is in, it gives hint on how much the corrupt people are looting Nigerian into a state of destruction. Just within few months of it's existence, there have been huge amount of money found by the EFCC . E.g;

  • $49Million found in Kaduna airport
  • #448Million found in BDC Lagos state
  • #250Million found in Balogun Market Lagos State
  • $43Million found in Ikoyi Apartment Lagos State
But nevertheless, this policy is facing some challenges,

  1. It has not yet been backed by law and the National Assembly has not enact a bill to that effect, and considering the disagreement between the Federal Government  and the National Assembly on the issue of who will be the chairman for EFCC creates more concern about the safety/protection of this policy in future.
  2. The second issue is that of the safety of the whistle blower him/herself, is it really that safe for him?.
Do you think the federal government should continue like this without making a law that will be there to protect the policy and the whistle blower or should they just wait for the National Assembly to pass bills in order to make law to back the policy up which I think might be delayed because most of the people in the National Assembly might be involved in corruption too...

  1. This policy should be sustained accordingly, in order to protect the whistle blower and this policy..
    But at the same time, the Senate's should be pressurized to pass the bill as quick as possible...

  2. The policy really active, I wouldn't want to see go down just like that, but I think the FG have to pressurize the senate to enact a bill to it's favour because both are important..
