10 Reasons Why You Need To Study(Must Read)

Back in those days (i.e centuries ago) studying was cherished by both the young and old among the people(e.g Albert Einstein, Imam Bukhari, Imam Muslim, Isaac Newton and so on), but due to the emergence or innovation of new things(e.g internet, phones, games, TVs etc.) and also the quest and preoccupation for material things, lead man are away from the path of studying.

In line with the deviation from studying, knowledge which elevates man from other creatures starts to decrease bit by bit.

But from behind evolve a group with conscience, a group that knows the importance of knowledge and these people are those that advocates the act of studying.

Knowing fully well that studying is mandatory, necessary and important, I decided to write in order to inspire, encourage and motivate people to study.

Verily a topic like this needs to begin with definition/explanation of the terms.

What is studying?, many people have misconceptions about what studying really means, many might think that studying only refer to reading, or going to school, but this is not so. Therefore clarification is required..

Study means the devotion of time and attention to gaining knowledge (an academic subject) especially by means of books. [i.e Studying can be attained through reading, learning, thinking etc]
Now after clarifying the term "study", we can now go into the discussion, which is "why studying?", actually this is a very good question because you need to know the reason why you have to do something before you do it.

Below are some motivating reasons why you need to study, and I have make them short so that it could be easy for those that are not used to reading, to read within a small period of time:-

1. OBEDIENCE TO GOD:- 

Studying is way that we can use to show our obedience to God, as He has directed us in His book(Q96: 1). This tells us that when we study we could generate some reward for doing it for the sake of God alone.

2. IT BUILDS YOUR INTELLECTUAL HORIZON:-

Studying opens the door of enormous ideas, options, creativity, it broadens your thinking, imagination, it provides you with a brain that is active, passive, creative and sharp. Your broad studying is like the use of bricks in building a house, each time you use in studying builds your intellectual horizon.

3. IT IMPROVES YOUR BRAIN:- 

Your intelligence Quotient Quotient (I.Q) is upgraded and this gives your brain more spirit and potential to amaze people in fields that you study in. Studying might make some people think you are a genius.

4. IT FAST TRACK YOUR BRAIN MATURITY:-

When you take your time to study you will gain more experience, sometimes much more than those that are older than you, because in the process of studying you would have encounter and interact with different voices(authors, speakers, lecturers etc) and you would have gotten more ideas that most people haven't thought of, like wise studying also increases your ability to comprehend things more accurately and more quickly than others. With studying, you could lunch yourself far into the future.

5. IT SAFEGUARDS YOU :-
Safety can be acquired when you know what is dangerous, followed by knowing how to avoid "what is dangerous", which is what studying helps you achieve. Through studying you will know the safe path to take and safe friends to stick with.

6. IT REPLENISH YOUR LOST STRENGTH :-
Reading helps to restore hope, reading makes you realise that, within your inner self lies a potential that needs to be activated and also studying gives you the force needed to launch this potential for the world to experience the advantages of that beautiful potential.

7. IT ELEVATES YOU :- 
Studying will take you to a position of respect, honour among friends, elders and others, your position will grow bigger and bigger.

8. IT GIVES YOU POWER:-
Studying is a source of power, when you study and apply it, you become more powerful/strong in the field in which you have applied it. For example take a look at the powerful nations in the world like USA, China, Russia, France and so on. They were able to build their weapons, hospitals, economy, school because they study and apply it. So therefore, if you really want to become powerful, you have to get up and get your brain filled.

9. YOU GET MORE INFLUENTIAL:-
This is a very important attribute of the learneds, because when you acquire knowledge you have a very great potential to influence people easily. For example look at Prof. Wole Soyinka, Dr. Zakir Naik, Dr. Yusuf Qaradawi all these people are influential people in their fields. You can just be like them and influence people positively so that we can together make this world better again.

10. CONNECTIVITY:-
When you become knowledgeable people tend to attach themselves to you so that they could learn from you.
